The following suggestions have been found to be of help to many of our customers although they are not guaranteed to work for everyone.
If a problem persisits, we recommend first of all seeing your GP and then considering making an appointment with our herbalist for a more in-depth consultation and treatment.
The following may prove helpful for digestive problems in general:
-
Herbal teas such as peppermint, chamomile, fennel, lemon balm and ginger and ensuring plenty of water generally may all be helpful especially in place of acidic, sugary and/or caffeinated drinks.
-
Peppermint oil capsules or ginger tincture may be additionally helpful for trapped wind or spasms in the gut
-
Viridian or Lamberts probiotics may be helpful following gastric upsets and/or antibiotic treatment
-
Chronic conditions are usually dietary, lifestyle and/or stress related and so are generally most effectively treated via one to one consultations in which such issues can be addressed in the depth required.
-
Wheat, cows milk products, oranges, tomatoes, alcohol, coffee/cola or sugar are the most common problem foods/drinks involved and may be worth eliminating for a trial period if eaten daily. A food sensitivity test may also be worth considering.
